Christian Perkins
Clean Energy Programs Manager
Christian joins City First Enterprises from Princeton University, where he earned a Master’s in Public Affairs. He has extensive experience in climate policy implementation and has worked both domestically and internationally on issues related to conservation, environmental justice, and the renewable energy transition. Most recently, he worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), where he oversaw a portfolio of federal programs ranging from Brownfield cleanups to wetlands protection along the mid-Atlantic.
Prior to the EPA, Christian spent some two years in East Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer, where he lived just outside Serengeti National Park working in education and conservation. While there, he drew from his undergraduate experience at the University of Alabama to collaborate with Tanzanian counterparts on behalf of local communities. He also works on projects exploring the role of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) in vulnerable country groups and attended the 28th Conference of Parties (COP28) in Dubai.
On his off days, you can find Christian kayaking along the Alabama Gulf Coast, the waters of which he gratefully calls home.
