Shannon Nys

As Director of Finance, Shannon assists with strategic financial management. She previously spent almost a decade managing a team responsible for financial statement reviews, real estate fixed asset accounting, and domestic income tax compliance for Lerner Enterprises, one of the largest private real estate developers in the DC Metropolitan Area, plus its 200+ related entities. Previous to that, she served a variety of clients while working at the public accounting firm CohnReznick, an industry leader for real estate advisory services. She brings with her a solid foundation of accounting, tax, and finance skills, as well as extensive exposure to the DC real estate industry and market.

Shannon graduated from the Georgetown University Masters of Real Estate program in May 2022, with a concentration in Real Estate Finance. She also earned a dual degree in Accounting and General Business from University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business in 2007. Additionally, Shannon holds an active license as a Maryland CPA.
